ATTENDEES: Steven Malkischer, Kristin Talleyrand, Meg Banks, Tom Grega, Sue McBride, Tom Mulvihill, Erin Shields, Mary Gugumuck, Dawn Nedin
School to Watch
Mr. Malkischer presented the School to Watch Program, a national program for middle schools that are not performing to where they should be. The School to Watch forum has three major criteria which they feel are necessary to be a high achieving school. They are academically excellent, developmentally responsive and socially equitable. Once you are chosen to be a School to Watch school, they come back every 3 yrs to evaluate you again. Mr. Malkischer asked The Site Base Team if they would be willing to work with him over the next 2-3 years to get our school ready to be able to submit an application. The Site Base Team agreed and will meet on 10/1/08 to receive the School to Watch packet from Mr. Malkischer to review individually before our monthly meeting on 10/15/08.
